The Glendale Association for the Retarded Since its founding in 1954, The Glendale Association for the Retarded has provided services for the developmentally disabled. Today, the Association serves 63 adults with vocational training, job placement, adult living skills instruction, community integration program, recreational activities, and residential placement. The Association is governed by a Board of Directors. At the Association's GAR Services, we offer clients work opportunities in the areas of mailings, assembly, recycling, collating, and packaging. Additionally clients are integrated into the community by competitive employment placements or by workcrews, working at business sites.
